Thanks for Connecting with Us at the Active Transportation Summit
It was a pleasure connecting with everyone at the 2026 Active Transportation Summit in Victoria!
As a Bronze Sponsor and exhibitor, the Bunt team made the most of a few busy days of learning and connecting with the active transportation community.
A big highlight was Jason Potter and Sophie Renard’s presentation, “From Plan to Pavement: Why Active Transportation Plans Stall and How to Fix Them.” With 40+ attendees, it was fantastic to see such strong interest in the conversation around what it takes to move active transportation plans from planning to implementation. We also had the pleasure of catching up with our friends and partners at the Bunt Booth, as well as meeting new people and hearing about the projects and ideas they’re working on across the province.
Our team also joined the Summit’s walking and bike/scooter tours, giving us a chance to uncover new local active transportation gems along the West Bay Walkway and see multimodal design in action through two completed street transformation projects in Saanich. The tours offered valuable insights into how investments in active transportation infrastructure can support long-term improvements with solutions that are built to last.
Thanks to everyone who led the tours, and a special shout-out to the BC Cycling Coalition for organizing another great event!
