Supporting STEM Education and Safer School Streets in Alberta

At Bunt, connecting communities for a brighter future is at the heart of what we do. While we bring balanced, innovative solutions to transportation challenges every day, our commitment to the places we serve extends beyond our project work.

Through our community giving and engagement efforts, we support initiatives that improve community well-being and advance STEM education. Recently, we were pleased to support two youth- and community-focused initiatives in Alberta.

As a supporter sponsor of MindFuel’s Tech Futures Challenge 2026, we were honoured to have Jason Dunn, Regional Manager for the Prairie Region, participate in the Innovation Showcase on May 30 in Calgary. The event brought together 250 youth innovators from across Canada, presenting 32 advanced innovation projects across science, technology, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and beyond. This inspiring program gives youth the opportunity to build STEM skills, turn ideas into prototypes, and develop solutions to real-world problems. Congratulations to the winning teams!

We were also pleased to support Green Communities Canada’s National Active School Streets Initiative through a donation to the School Streets project in Edmonton, led by Ever Active Schools. On June 4, St. Leo Catholic Elementary School hosted a Play Street event, creating a car-free space in front of the school to support road safety, active school travel, physical activity, and independent play.

Together, these initiatives reflect the kind of community impact we’re excited to support – helping young people explore new ideas, build confidence, and experience safer, healthier places to learn and grow.
