Yulia Liem Shares Her Perspective on Traffic Engineering

Traffic engineering is key to planning new developments and infrastructure projects that keep people, goods, and communities moving. Yulia Liem, P.Eng., PTOE, Regional Manager for British Columbia, was recently interviewed in Engineers & Geoscientists BC’s Innovation magazine, where she shared her perspective on the role of traffic-flow engineering in shaping sustainable and connected communities.

 

In the interview, Yulia highlighted the importance of Transportation Demand Management (TDM) plans in today’s developments. These strategies, such as prioritizing bike facilities, enhancing transit options, or introducing car/bike/scooter sharing systems, help reduce congestion while promoting active transportation.
