September 30: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – a day to honour the victims and survivors of residential schools, as well as to advance our understanding and awareness of Indigenous history in support of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people.

 

The journey towards reconciliation is ongoing and complex. As Canadians, we all share a responsibility to listen, learn, and reflect on the stories and history shared by Indigenous peoples. Learning can be done in so many ways – attending community or online events, engaging with Indigenous-led organizations, incorporating Indigenous learning and perspectives into ongoing training and development, or simply having open conversations with others about what reconciliation truly means.

 

In observance of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Bunt offices will be closed tomorrow. Below are a few resources to support our individual and collective learning journeys:
