2026 PIBC Okanagan Interior & ITE BC Interior Joint Fall Conference

Attending the 2026 PIBC Okanagan Interior & ITE Canada Interior Joint Fall Conference in Kelowna on September 25, 2026? Be sure to join Kyle Briggs, Transportation Engineer at Bunt, and Anne Huisken from the City of Vernon for their presentation on the City of Vernon Highway Crossing Assessment and Citywide Traffic Modeling.

Their presentation will highlight the City of Vernon’s review of 15 highway pedestrian crossings to identify safety improvements for people walking and cycling, along with a city-wide traffic modelling exercise assessing 40 intersections under existing and future conditions. The assessment also identified when the study intersections would exceed acceptable traffic performance and recommended mitigation measures to support future vehicle traffic flows and active transportation.
