Meet Janelle Willis

When did you start working at Bunt & Associates?

I started in 2006 after graduating from the University of Alberta.

What do you like most about working at Bunt & Associates?

The people and culture at Bunt & Associates have provided an enriching experience at every stage of my career. I have always felt trusted, empowered, and engaged.

What stands out to you when it comes to transportation engineering?

I really appreciate the strong relationship between land use planning and transportation. Transportation, such as roads and transit, influences land development; while the location and types of land use affect travel patterns and transportation facilities.

I enjoy being able to play a role in shaping the areas in which I live, work, and play.

What does your expertise include?

I am skilled at building large-scale traffic models for area and neighbourhood structure plans. I have a keen eye for detail and enjoy solving the unique problems that each project offers.

Can you share a fun fact?

I am a fourth generation Civil Engineer. My grandpa, dad, and brother helped pave the way to my career.

What animal would you choose to be and why?

I would be a dolphin – they are compassionate, intelligent, agile, playful, and get to explore the world’s seas and oceans.
