Appointment of New Principals

Bunt & Associates is pleased to announce the appointment of Amrit Uppal, James Lee, and Jason Dunn as Principals of the company, effective immediately.

As accomplished Senior Transportation Engineers, Amrit, James, and Jason have consistently demonstrated a commitment to technical excellence, client service, and team leadership. Their expertise and dedication have made a significant impact on our team and the communities we serve, and we are confident they will continue to elevate our standards and strengthen our presence across the industry.

In their new roles, they will be responsible for upholding the overall quality of projects within their respective regions, continuing to provide exceptional service to clients, supporting and mentoring staff across the organization, and representing Bunt & Associates in both internal initiatives and external engagements.  They will also continue as Bunt’s responsible registrants/officers with their respective provincial professional bodies (APEGA/EGBC/APEGS).

Amrit Uppal, P. Eng. is a Senior Transportation Engineer who joined Bunt in 2011 after graduating from the University of British Columbia (UBC). With over a decade of experience in transportation planning and engineering, Amrit has contributed to a wide range of projects, including Transportation Impact Assessments, Parking Studies, and Active Transportation Assessments. Amrit is currently a member of the Board of Directors and is assisting the Board in setting and implementing the company’s strategic direction.

James Lee, P.Eng., MBA, PMP is a Senior Transportation Engineer with over 16 years of transportation consulting experience. He joined Bunt in 2007 after graduating from UBC, took a two-year hiatus in 2013 to complete his Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and returned in 2015. During his time at Bunt, James has held leadership roles including Team Lead and Group Manager and has been involved with many transformative projects including the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Travel Demand Forecasting, The Amazing Brentwood Master Plan, and the Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment. Currently, James helps oversee Bunt’s Kelowna office and leads the company’s Project Manager-in-Training Program.

Jason Dunn, P.Eng. is the Regional Manager for the Prairie Region and a Senior Transportation Engineer with over 26 years of experience in transportation planning and traffic engineering. Since joining Bunt in 2014, Jason has brought valuable insight from both the public and private sectors, contributing to a wide range of projects across highway and municipal engineering. At Bunt, Jason has further expanded his expertise to include parking studies, digital signage reviews, and transportation due diligence assessments. He also played a key role in promoting the commencement and growth of the company’s Kelowna office.
