This article on Vox.com examines the research and common sense regarding the cycling practice of slowly rolling through a stop sign, and why it shouldn’t be illegal in the first place. In some places in the US, cyclists are allowed to treat stop signs as yields and red lights as stop signs, which is called the ‘Idaho stop’ as it is considered safer then the status quo.
