We are liking Germany’s ‘pure’ new metro line
Life in the city is as much about moving through landscapes as it is about being in them. In this regard Dusseldorf’s residents and visitors are treated to stunning works of art – not in a gallery or park, but in six new metro stations. By working together from the very beginning and embracing their transit system as a public space canvas, city bureaucrats, engineers, architects, and artists created a visual experience of moving connections without use of advertising. “What is perhaps most inspiring about the project is how the lack of adverts means people can be people, and not consumers.” Read full article published in the Guardian.
