Bunt & Associates has been part of the Vancouver Island transportation engineering community for 10 years. We are continuing to expand our presence in the Victoria area with the hiring of additional staff with significant transportation planning and traffic operations experience. Intermediate Transportation Engineer / Planner - Victoria Bunt is looking for a Transportation Engineer / Planner to assume project-management level responsibilities in our expanding Victoria office. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience in traffic engineering, urban transportation planning and similar disciplines, proven technical and management skills, and strong communications abilities. The successful proponent will be experienced in road safety audits, preliminary roadway design, parking demand, traffic impact, transportation demand management (TDM), and traffic calming studies. The position requires the ability to make presentations to municipal councils and to organize and host public information meetings for transportation related projects. Proficiency in intersection and roadway traffic computer modelling using HCS / Synchro / SimTraffic software and knowledge of roadway design guidelines is an asset. Clear, concise written and verbal skills are required. The ideal candidate will have P. Eng. certification, however, an E.I.T., or Technologist with a minimum 5 years of relevant working experience would be considered. Please email your resume and cover letter to victoria@bunteng.com. Certified Engineering Technologist/AutoCAD Technician - Edmonton Our office requires a Transportation Technologist / Technician to assist our project engineers with a variety of technical work. Typical projects include: transportation planning and traffic impact studies, land development planning and design projects, parking and traffic surveys, and design of transportation facilities. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in AutoCAD, knowledge of roadway standards and design, strong analytical capabilities and a keen desire to work in the transportation field. Familiarity with transportation engineering analysis methods, computer applications, and roadway traffic modeling software such as HCS and Synchro would be an asset.
