Traffic calming aims to reduce the speed and/or volume of traffic on streets that suffer from the negative impacts of vehicle traffic. Bunt & Associates has conducted several comprehensive studies of neighbourhoods where cut-through traffic and speeding were cited as key issues by local residents and prepared detailed traffic calming plans to address these issues. Such studies often involve significant public consultation to first understand existing problems and to develop and evaluate potential traffic calming alternatives.
