Bunt was engaged by Stantec Architecture as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assist in developing a new Master Plan for the 4,000+ student King Edward Campus. In addition to long range parking demand and supply assessments, Bunt conducted a detailed traffic impact study for the first phase of development. The assignment included the planning and execution of a major data collection program, including traffic volumes, off-site/on-site parking demand counts as well as an extensive staff/student interview survey to determine mode splits and travel characteristics. Bunt developed site-specific existing traffic and parking generation rates for VCC-KEC and forecasted future traffic and parking demands under several TDM Program scenarios. Bunt assisted the project architect in developing long and short term access and loading strategies, traffic calming design concepts and parking layouts.
