Vancouver, B.C.
Bunt & Associates was commissioned by the City of Vancouver to plan, design and implement a Transportation Survey in Downtown Vancouver. The primary purpose of the Transportation Survey was to study the travel characteristics of patrons to a major event at the BC Place Stadium.
The event was a Rolling Stones Concert which was part of their world tour in 2006. The survey also provided an update to the Entertainment District Transportation Study conducted by Bunt & Associates in 1996 for the City of Vancouver. The project included a questionnaire interview survey of event patrons to identify travel modes and parking locations, and the preparation of an overall parking profile for the entire district. Data obtained was used to update transportation survey information for large attendance events at BC Place and GM Place stadiums to assist with transportation planning considerations for the 2010 Olympic Games. The report provides a documentation of the types of surveys conducted and a summary of the findings of surveys.
